Effective date: October 22, 2026
Discretion is part of the Obsidian standard. This policy explains what information Obsidian Biologics LLC (“Obsidian Biologics,” “we,” “us”) collects through obxbio.com, how it's used, and your choices.
Information we collect.
When you place an order or contact us, we collect your name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, company or institution name, research field, and order history. We also record your confirmation that you are 21 or older and purchasing for laboratory research only. When you visit the site, we and our service providers may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages viewed, through cookies and similar technologies.
Payment information.
We do not store full card or bank account numbers on our servers. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers under their own privacy policies. For cryptocurrency orders, we keep wallet addresses, transaction IDs, and payment records for order verification and accounting. Cryptocurrency transactions are recorded on a public blockchain, cannot be reversed once confirmed, and cannot be changed or deleted by us.
How we use information.
We use your information to process and ship orders, verify eligibility and research-use compliance, provide batch records and Certificates of Analysis, respond to inquiries, prevent fraud, improve the site, and meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
How we share information.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help run the business, such as payment processors, shipping carriers, hosting, and email providers, and only as needed. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.
Data security and retention.
All data sent between your browser and our site is encrypted using SSL/TLS. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We keep order and compliance records as long as needed to fulfill orders, meet legal and tax requirements, and resolve disputes.
Your choices.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing jose.bd@obxbio.com. Some records must be kept to meet legal obligations. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though parts of the site may not work. The site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
